one more tease

Las Vegas - After a DUMB A** pick on McNeese State, my head is clear and ready to pump some money into the bank. And, yea, it's another two team 6-point teaser. Start with the late game in Charlotte where we'll take Tennessee and drop the Volunteers from -6 to -0.5 point over Texas. So we're calling this the 'Rick Barnes' affair. For those that have not followed Barnes over the last 25 years, 16 of those were spent in Austin coaching the Longhorns. He has been in Knoxville for the last nine years, so while revenge might be an issue, it's not the main reason for including the Vols. They're just a better team with a superstar guard, Dalton Knecht. He averages 21.1 points per game with 4.7 boards. Barnes also has a much DEEPER bench, playing at least 10 kids, while Texas gives all its minutes to only eight players. Then we head to Pittsburgh for the late game, take Oregon and bump the Ducks up from +5.5 to +11.5 points against Creighton. When we pegged Oregon as one of our plays on Thursday, we told you about Dana Altman's Rain Man status in tournaments. If you don't remember, Altman has 24 consecutive postseason appearances. Yea, TWENTY FOUR! Including 14 times at the Big Dance with three Sweet 16s, two Elite Eights and one Final Four. Not calling for the outright upset, but taking YO 11 and a hook should work just fine. Quack quack!

Also gotta skate on to the NHL ice tonight and throw a handful of chips at the red hot (six wins in the last seven games) Nashville Predators.
