Las Vegas - Yea, sure, the sports betting market is BOOMING, but it AIN'T bringing in yuge bucks to the sportsbooks, yet. For the first time EVER, Nevada sportsbooks wrote over ONE BILLION BUCKS in October on all sports, joining New Jersey in the BILLIONAIRES club. Sadly, for the house, not us bettors, the books held or won just 4.1% of football wagers in October. Guess what? The folks that run the sportsbooks AIN'T worried, because they'll probably bounce back with a gigantic month of November once the numbers are posted.

Here are the dollar amounts for the Nevada casinos' net win in October:

- Penny slots $312.9 million

- Blackjack $115.4 million

- Baccarat $92.4 million

- Sports $48.3 million

- Roulette $40.4 million

- Craps $35.6 million

Gonna take a long shot tonight on the college hoop board and drop some cash on Utah Valley +15 points over BYU. Obviously, Brigham Young is the better team in this matchup, but this is a budding IN-STATE rivalry, and you never know when the dog will bark. The Cougars from Provo drive the 6.3 miles North to Orem after a YUGE win over Utah and just might have a tiny letdown after beating the Pac 12 Utes. BYU brings a perfect 6-0 record to the dance this evening, but the Wolverines have ripped off SIX in a row. They have two kids that used to play for Brigham Young, Blaze Nield and Connor Harding, and you know that these guys will be ready to rumble. Then the Wolves run out a superb kid in the middle, Fardaws Aimaq, who was the WAC Player of the Year, and, and, LED the country in rebounds per game. So, you gotta gimme UVU for the money!
