Las Vegas - Skating down to Florida where the temps are perfect for hockey, like 80+ degrees, and taking a look at some first period action. If the Panthers are ever gonna get rolling, it MUST be the first period of game three. They'll have the home crowd going ballistic and if they can't set the tone early, it'll be a long night at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise. So, the Panthers are a small favorite to win the 1st period at around -$120. We're taking a taste.

Las Vegas - Back in Miami and the home team is a 2.5 point underdog. You gonna bite Eck? Hmmmmm. Think I'll probably take a taste of a 4th quarter wager. Got three plans. If the Heat are ahead, and ahead BIGLY, like by 15 points or more, the wallet stays closed. If the game is close, say within five points either way, then it's a small taste of Miami. Las Vegas - Gonna take a look at the Rangers/Cards game tonight and tell you about something NO ONE saw coming this season. Texas is sitting in 1st place in the A.L. NO ONE saw that coming. Dane Dunning takes the ball tonight for Texas with a 4-1 record and a very stingy 2.06 ERA.

Las Vegas - Gonna stay away from the ice tonight and roll down to Miami for a taste of the Marlins. You're probably not gonna believe this, but Miami is sitting in 2nd place in the N.L. East, just three games behind the Braves. And, in line for a Wild Card. Shocking right. Skip Schumaker replaced Don Mattingly this season and he is pressing all the right buttons. One of those buttons is sending Braxton Garrett to the mound. Despite an 0-2 record, Garrett is throwing some serious stuff.

Las Vegas - Still think that the Nuggets are gonna lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy, but gotta throw some love & a handful of chips at the Heat tonight. A few reasons. Totally understand that NO ONE is gonna stop Nikola Jokic and probably Jamal Murray. But after looking at the box score from game one, here's what I have. Miami was down 84-63 entering the 4th quarter, and wound up outscoring Denver 30-20. And that was WITH Jokic and Murray still on the floor.
