2024 NBA Championship Betting Odds

The Denver Nuggets haven’t even held their championship parade yet, but NBA bettors are already looking toward next season and the 2024 NBA Championship betting odds. And at the Bovada Sportsbook the Nuggets begin the offseason as 2024 NBA Championship futures favorites at +475.

The Nuggets are in position to have all of their starters return next year if they can lock up Bruce Brown. Brown has a player option for next season which he will most likely opt out of to chase a larger deal. More importantly, the Nuggets have two-time NBA MVP and NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic locked up for at least the next four seasons, and Jamal Murray for the next two seasons. In case you were wondering you could have taken Denver at +1600 to win the 2023 NBA title last June.

Following the Nuggets on the early 2024 NBA futures are the Boston Celtics at +500.

The Celtics recorded the second-best record during the regular season last year but were one of many victims of the Miami Heat in the postseason. Unless the Celtics’ front office decides to make some changes in the offseason Boston could also return all of its starters next year as none of them are free agents. If Boston does decide to run it back this could be the last chance for Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart to try and bring an NBA title back to Boston.

Bucks, Suns, Lakers follow favorites on futures

Rounding out the top five favorites on the early 2024 NBA Championship futures are the Milwaukee Bucks at +650, the Phoenix Suns at +900, and the Los Angeles Lakers at +1100.

Milwaukee was the best team in the NBA during the regular season but was bounced by the Heat in the first round. Giannis Antetokounmpo will be back next season, but Khris Middleton has a player option and Jae Crowder and Brook Lopez are both free agents. One big change in Milwaukee is at head coach where Mike Budenholzer was fired only two years after leading the Bucks to an NBA title and replaced by Adrian Griffin.

Phoenix also made a coaching change, ditching Monty Williams in favor of Frank Vogel. One other high-profile move the Suns are expected to make is waiving Chris Paul. If Paul is dropped Phoenix will rely on Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton to lead them to their first-ever NBA title.

The Lakers were a roller coaster ride for fans and bettors last season after limping into the NBA's play-in tournament and then advancing all the way to the Western Conference Finals. As usual the Lakers' chances will rely heavily on the performance and health of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The NBA title odds of a few other notable teams for next season include the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks at +1200, and the Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers at +1400. Expect those odds to change once the fates of Draymond Green, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden have been decided.
