NFL Week 16 Betting Preview

Week 16 of the NFL season kicks off Thursday night with a matchup between two teams fighting for a playoff spot in the NFC when the Los Angeles Rams host the New Orleans Saints.

At the Bovada Sportsbook the Rams are 4-point home favorites. Los Angeles is 7-7 straight up and 8-5-1 against the spread following last week’s 28-20 win over the Washington Commanders as 6.5-point favorites. The Rams have won four of their last five both SU and ATS and when favored they’re 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven.

The Saints are 7-7 SU and 4-9-1 ATS after last week’s 24-6 win over the New York Giants as 6-point favorites. As an underdog the Saints are 3-1 SU in their last four and 4-1 ATS in their last five.

Last season the Saints defeated the Rams 27-20 as 2.5-point favorites. At home against the Saints the Rams have won four in a row SU and six straight ATS.

Bengals road favorites taking on the Steelers

On Saturday, AFC North division rivals meet up when the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Pittsburgh Steelers as 2-point road favorites.

Cincinnati is 8-6 SU and 6-6-2 ATS and is coming off a 27-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings as 3-point favorites. The Bengals have won three straight at 2-0-1 ATS and as road favorites they’re 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six.

Pittsburgh is 7-7 SU and ATS after last week’s 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts as 1-point underdogs. The Steelers have lost three straight both SU and ATS. As home underdogs they’re 6-4 SU and 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10.

In Week 12 Pittsburgh defeated Cincinnati 16-10 as 2-point road favorites. The Bengals have won their last two games in Pittsburgh and they’re 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven.

Lions chalk in a Sunday matchup with Vikings

On Sunday the Detroit Lions can clinch the NFC North division when they face the Minnesota Vikings as 3-point road favorites.

Detroit improved to 10-4 SU and 9-5 ATS last week after crushing the Denver Broncos 42-17 as 5.5-point favorites. As road favorites the Lions are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five games.

The Vikings are 7-7 SU and 7-4-3 ATS after last week’s 27-24 loss to the Bengals as 3-point underdogs. At home the Vikings been a bad wager lately at 2-5 SU in their last seven and 2-7 ATS in their last nine.

In this matchup the Lions have won five straight ATS. At home to the Lions the Vikings have won five in a row SU at 3-2 ATS.

Ravens are Monday underdogs facing Niners

And on Monday night the best in the NFC faces the best in the AFC when the San Francisco 49ers host the Baltimore Ravens as 5-point favorites.

San Francisco is 11-3 SU and 8-6 ATS after last week’s 45-29 win over the Arizona Cardinals as 12-point favorites. The 49ers have won six straight at 4-2 ATS and at home they’re 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10, which includes losing three straight ATS.

Baltimore is 11-3 SU and 9-5 ATS following last week’s 23-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars as 4-point favorites. The Ravens are 8-1 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine games, and as underdogs they’re 7-2-1 ATS in their last nine.

In this matchup Baltimore is 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS in the last six games.
