ginn and tonic

Las Vegas - Don't look now, okay look. The soon-to-be Las Vegas A's have won six of the last seven (not including last night) and those wins were against two pretty solid teams (Astros & Mariners). Sure the A's traded away some pieces, pitcher JP Sears and 3B Miguel Andujar, but they still have some serious thunder in the middle of the batting order. Brent Rooker (23 HRs and 62 RBI), Nick Kurtz (23 HRs and 59 RBI) and Tyler Sonderstrom (19 HRs and 61 RBI) are giving opposing pitchers nightmares. The A's will send J.T. Ginn to the hill and since coming back from the DL, he has been solid, allowing only one earned run over 11 innings. Arizona just traded away its best bat in Eugenio Suarez, another big bat in Josh Naylor and one of its best pitchers, Merrill Kelly. Did anyone say CLEANING HOUSE?
No wonder that the D'backs have only one win in their last nine games (not including last night). As long as Ginn takes the ball for the A's, the Bank of Benj is wide open.
