Recap - Heat Defeat Detroit 115-112
Tyler Herro scored 29 points for Miami on Thursday, leading the Heat to a 115-112 victory over Detroit at FTX Arena.
Miami did not, however, defeat the Pistons against the spread, which closed at -12.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 207.5.
Max Strus had 26 points for Miami and Kyle Lowry chipped in with 21 points. Gabe Vincent had 7 assists for the Heat, while Omer Yurtseven was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.
Detroit got 28 points from Trey Lyles in a losing cause and another 23 points from Saddiq Bey. Cory Joseph contributed 9 assists for the Pistons, while Saddiq Bey had 10 rebounds.
The Heat hit the break losing 61-55 before taking care of business in the second half.
Miami looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Magic. The Pistons will aim to get back on the winning track at San Antonio.
