Trail Blazers Fall 124-90 Against New Orleans - Game Recap

The battle between the Pelicans and Trail Blazers didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Portland was handed a 124-90 defeat on Monday at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter.

Bettors who backed the Pelicans were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -12.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 226.5.

Brandon Ingram had 29 points for New Orleans and CJ McCollum chipped in with 17 points. CJ McCollum had 8 assists for the Pelicans, while Jonas Valanciunas was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 21 boards.

Portland got 20 points from Keon Johnson in a losing cause and another 15 points from Kevin Knox II. Keon Johnson contributed 6 assists for the Trail Blazers, while Shaedon Sharpe had 8 rebounds.

The Pelicans hit the break winning 58-35 before taking care of business in the second half.

New Orleans won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-29.

Next game, New Orleans takes its act on the road to face Golden State looking for another win. For Portland, they head home to face Sacramento.
