Toledo Defeats Kent State 76-74 - Recap

Kent State was victimized by Marreon Jackson for 31 points as Toledo defeated them 76-74 in NCAA action on Saturday.

Toledo earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -3.5-point spread.

Toledo got 16 points from Ryan Rollins and another 14 points from JT Shumate. Marreon Jackson contributed 5 assists, while Setric Millner Jr. cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.

Kent State got 19 points from Mike Nuga in a losing cause and another 17 points from Danny Pippen. Danny Pippen contributed 4 assists for them, while Danny Pippen had 12 rebounds.

Toledo was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Kent State had a 38-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Toledo heads into a battle against Miami-Ohio. Kent State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ball State.
