Kentucky got 23 points and 11 rebounds from Oscar Tshiebwe en route to a 76-64 victory over Southern on Tuesday at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.
Kentucky got 14 points from TyTy Washington Jr. and another 9 points from Davion Mintz. Sahvir Wheeler contributed 6 assists, while Oscar Tshiebwe cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Southern got 18 points from Jayden Saddler in a losing cause and another 14 points from Brion Whitley. Jayden Saddler contributed 6 assists for them, while J'Quan Ewing had 6 rebounds.
Kentucky was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Kentucky won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-22.
Next game, Kentucky takes its act on the road to face Notre Dame looking for another win. For Southern, they head home to face Lindsey Wilson.
