Howard got 19 points from Marcus Dockery as they ran past Norfolk State 80-74 on Friday at Norfolk Scope Arena.
Howard got 16 points from Bryce Harris and another 15 points from Isiah Warfield. Jordan Hairston contributed 5 assists, while Seth Towns cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Norfolk State got 16 points from Allen Betrand in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jamarii Thomas. Christian Ings contributed 5 assists for them, while Chris Fields Jr. had 5 rebounds.
Howard was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
