Mercyhurst Defeats Chicago State 90-68 - Recap
The battle between Mercyhurst and Chicago State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Chicago State was handed a 90-68 defeat on Thursday at Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
Mercyhurst got 32 points from Jeff Planutis and another 18 points from Bernie Blunt III. Shemar Rathan-Mayes contributed 5 assists, while Aidan Reichert cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Chicago State got 19 points from Jalen Forrest in a losing cause and another 16 points from Quincy Allen. Gabe Spinelli contributed 4 assists for them, while Dailliss Cox had 5 rebounds.
Mercyhurst was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Mercyhurst had a 30-22 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
