Akron Defeats Northern Illinois 73-63 - Recap
Akron got 15 points from Shammah Scott en route to a 73-63 victory over Northern Illinois on Tuesday at James A. Rhodes Arena.
Akron earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -19.0-point spread.
Tavari Johnson had 15 points for Akron and Nate Johnson chipped in with 14 points. Shammah Scott had 4 assists for them, while Nate Johnson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.
Northern Illinois got 28 points from Quentin Jones in a losing cause and another 11 points from Kailon Nicholls. James Dent Jr. contributed 4 assists for them, while Quentin Jones had 7 rebounds.
Akron was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
