Recap - Purdue Defeats Rutgers 100-71
The battle between Purdue and Rutgers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Rutgers was handed a 100-71 defeat on Tuesday at Mackey Arena.
Purdue won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -11.0-point spread as favorites.
Purdue got 23 points from Fletcher Loyer and another 23 points from Braden Smith. Braden Smith contributed 9 assists, while Caleb Furst cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Rutgers got a 13-point performance from Dylan Harper, who was supported by 12 points from Ace Bailey. Tyson Acuff had 3 assists in a losing cause for Rutgers, while Zach Martini grabbed 5 rebounds.
