Evansville Falls 82-51 to Purdue - Recap
The battle between Purdue and Evansville didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Evansville was handed a 82-51 defeat on Tuesday at Mackey Arena.
Purdue did not, however, defeat Evansville against the spread, which closed at -34.5 at most sportsbooks.
Purdue got 30 points from Fletcher Loyer and another 11 points from Daniel Jacobsen. Braden Smith contributed 11 assists, while Oscar Cluff cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Evansville got a 15-point performance from Joshua Hughes, who was supported by 14 points from AJ Casey. Leif Moeller had 3 assists in a losing cause for Evansville, while Joshua Hughes grabbed 11 rebounds.

Evansville had a 35-34 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Purdue takes its act home to face Oakland looking for another win. For Evansville, they head home to face Calumet.
