Recap - NC State Defeats North Carolina Central 114-66
The battle between NC State and North Carolina Central didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as North Carolina Central was handed a 114-66 defeat on Monday at Lenovo Center.
NC State got 19 points from Darrion Williams and another 16 points from Paul McNeil. Darrion Williams contributed 8 assists, while Matt Able cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
North Carolina Central got a 20-point performance from Gage Lattimore, who was supported by 19 points from Khouri Carvey. Dionte Johnson had 5 assists in a losing cause for North Carolina Central, while Khouri Carvey grabbed 8 rebounds.
NC State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
NC State had a 39-24 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
NC State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UAB. North Carolina Central will aim to get back on the winning track at Virginia.
