Recap - SMU Defeats Butler 87-85
SMU got 23 points and 12 assists from Boopie Miller en route to a 87-85 victory over Butler on Saturday at Moody Coliseum.
SMU won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -7.5-point spread.
SMU got 18 points from Jaron Pierre Jr. and another 14 points from Samet Yigitoglu. Boopie Miller contributed 12 assists, while Jaron Pierre Jr. cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Butler got 18 points from Finley Bizjack in a losing cause and another 14 points from Michael Ajayi. Jalen Jackson contributed 6 assists for them, while Michael Ajayi had 10 rebounds.
SMU was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
