Recap - UMBC Defeats Morgan State 81-79
UMBC grabbed a 81-79 win over Morgan State on Tuesday, behind a 18-point effort from Daylon Dickerson at Hill Field House.
UMBC got 17 points from DJ Armstrong Jr. and another 12 points from Ace Valentine. Ace Valentine contributed 7 assists, while Daylon Dickerson cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Morgan State got a 17-point performance from Elijah Davis, who was supported by 16 points from Alfred Worrell Jr.. Elijah Davis had 8 assists in a losing cause for Morgan State, while Christian Meeks grabbed 8 rebounds.
UMBC was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMBC won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 32-30.
UMBC heads into a battle against Wagner. Morgan State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Mercyhurst.
