UNLV Defeats Memphis 92-78 - Recap
Howie Fleming Jr. scored 25 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double, leading UNLV over Memphis, 92-78, on Sunday at FedExForum.
UNLV won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +9.5-point spread as underdogs.
Issac Williamson had 25 points for UNLV and Tyrin Jones chipped in with 14 points. Kimani Hamilton had 6 assists for them, while Howie Fleming Jr. was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.
Memphis got 16 points from Julius Thedford in a losing cause and another 10 points from Curtis Givens III. Quante Berry contributed 3 assists for them, while Simon Majok had 7 rebounds.
UNLV was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UNLV won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-26.
Next game, UNLV takes its act home to face Saint Joseph's looking for another win. For Memphis, they head home to face Purdue.
