Recap - Marshall Defeats Elon 96-89
Marshall got 34 points from Wyatt Fricks en route to a 96-89 victory over Elon on Wednesday at Cam Henderson Center.
Marshall earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -9.5-point spread.
Marshall got 14 points from Matt Van Komen and another 14 points from Noah Otshudi. Jalen Speer contributed 12 assists, while Wyatt Fricks cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Elon got 28 points from Chandler Cuthrell in a losing cause and another 17 points from Randall Pettus II. DeMarco Johnson contributed 8 assists for them, while Kacper Klaczek had 8 rebounds.
Marshall was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Elon had a 35-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Marshall looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Virginia. Elon will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Gardner-Webb.
