Recap - Utah State Defeats UTEP 75-51
The battle between Utah State and UTEP didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as UTEP was handed a 75-51 defeat on Saturday at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Utah State was the ATS victor, as they covered the -16.5-point spread as a favorite.
Utah State got 20 points from Garry Clark and another 13 points from MJ Collins Jr.. Elijah Perryman contributed 5 assists, while Garry Clark cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
UTEP got a 13-point performance from Elijah Jones, who was supported by 9 points from Jamal West Jr.. Cassius Brooks had 3 assists in a losing cause for UTEP, while KJ Thomas grabbed 4 rebounds.
Utah State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Utah State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-19.
Utah State heads into a battle against Tulane. UTEP, meanwhile, will have their next action against St. Thomas-Texas.
