Calgary Falls 39-31 to Argonauts - Recap

The Argonauts got a 3-TD performance from Chad Kelly as Toronto handed Calgary a 39-31 defeat on Friday at BMO Field.

The Argonauts won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -10.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Chad Kelly completed 20 of 31 pass attempts for 361 yards and 3 TDs for the Argonauts in the win.

Dedrick Mills rushed for 46 yards for Calgary, while LeVante Bellamy added 13 yards. Jake Maier threw for 387 yards for the Stampeders, while receivers Reggie Begelton and Marken Michel had 203 and 82 yards respectively.

Calgary lost the offensive yardage battle to Toronto 477-446 yards in Friday's game. Toronto had more first downs as that total ended up 21-18.

Toronto lost the time of possession battle 32:46-27:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Toronto takes its act on the road to face Hamilton looking for another win. For Calgary, they head home to face Edmonton.
