Recap - Alouettes Defeat Toronto 21-19

The Alouettes got a 2-TD performance from McLeod Bethel-Thompson as Montreal handed Toronto a 21-19 defeat on Friday at BMO Field.

The Alouettes won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -6.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson completed 18 of 30 pass attempts for 228 yards and 2 TDs for the Alouettes in the win.

Jarret Doege rushed for 18 yards for Toronto, while Spencer Brown added 7 yards. Jarret Doege threw for 207 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers Jake Herslow and Kevin Mital had 51 and 49 yards respectively.

Montreal outgained Toronto 304-232 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 17-14 by the Alouettes.

Toronto lost the time of possession battle 30:55-29:05, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Montreal takes its act home to face Calgary looking for another win. For Toronto, they head on the road to face British Columbia.
