Tiger-Cats vs Elks Final: 29-27 - Recap

Bo Levi Mitchell led the way with 311 passing yards on Saturday as the Tiger-Cats picked up a 29-27 victory over the Elks at Tim Hortons Field.

Hamilton won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -6.0-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 56.5.

Bo Levi Mitchell completed 28 of 40 pass attempts for 311 yards and 2 TDs for the Tiger-Cats in the win.

Justin Rankin rushed for 41 yards for Edmonton, while Cody Fajardo added 16 yards. Cody Fajardo threw for 280 yards for the Elks, while receivers Justin Rankin and Kurleigh Gittens Jr. had 77 and 60 yards respectively.

Edmonton was outgained by Hamilton 421-343 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-21 by the Tiger-Cats.

Hamilton led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:15-28:45 split in that important category.

Next game, Hamilton takes its act on the road to face Winnipeg looking for another win. For Edmonton, they head home to face Saskatchewan.
