Massachusetts Minutemen vs Tulane Green Wave Wrap - Tulane Wins 42-10
The battle between the Green Wave and Minutemen didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Massachusetts was handed a 42-10 defeat on Saturday at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium.
Tulane was a favorite by -28.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 59.0.
Tyjae Spears rushed for 57 yards, while Michael Pratt added 55 yards in the win. Jha'Quan Jackson and Tyjae Spears added 34 and 32 receiving yards respectively.
Tim Baldwin Jr. rushed for 65 yards for Massachusetts, while Gino Campiotti added 58 yards. Brady Olson threw for 5 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers George Johnson III and Jacob Orlando had 11 and 4 yards respectively.
Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Tulane 369-217 yards in Saturday's game. Tulane had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.
Massachusetts led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:15-26:45 split in that important category.
Tulane looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Alcorn State. Massachusetts will aim to get back on the winning track at Toledo.
