Marshall Defeats Old Dominion 12-0 - Recap
Marshall got a 139-yard performance from Khalan Laborn as a key part of its 12-0 victory over the Monarchs on Saturday at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
The Thundering Herd were a -3.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 46.5.
Khalan Laborn rushed for 139 yards, while Cam Fancher added 136 yards in the win. EJ Horton and Charles Montgomery added 28 and 18 receiving yards respectively.
Blake Watson rushed for 28 yards for Old Dominion, while Hayden Wolff added -17 yards. Hayden Wolff threw for 198 yards for the Monarchs, while receivers Javon Harvey and Blake Watson had 60 and 36 yards respectively.
Old Dominion was outgained by Marshall 387-209 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-13 by the Thundering Herd.
Marshall led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 38:11-21:49 split in that important category.
Next game, Marshall takes its act home to face Appalachian State looking for another win. For Old Dominion, they head home to face James Madison.
