LA Tech Falls 47-27 to Mean Green - Recap
Ayo Adeyi tore up the turf for 122 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Mean Green to a 47-27 win over the Bulldogs at Apogee Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Mean Green were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -6.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 68.0.
Ayo Adeyi rushed for 122 yards, while Oscar Adaway III added 113 yards in the win. Var'Keyes Gumms and Jyaire Shorter added 59 and 51 receiving yards respectively.
Marquis Crosby rushed for 46 yards for LA Tech, while Charvis Thornton added 25 yards. Parker McNeil threw for 424 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Smoke Harris and Tre Harris had 156 and 129 yards respectively.
LA Tech lost the offensive yardage battle to North Texas 671-504 yards in Saturday's game. North Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 27-22.
LA Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:22-25:06 split in that important category.
Next game, North Texas takes its act on the road to face UTSA looking for another win. For LA Tech, they head home to face Rice.
