Gators Down Vanderbilt 38-14 - Match Report

Montrell Johnson Jr. tore up the turf for 135 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Gators to a 38-14 win over the Commodores at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed for 135 yards, while Treyaun Webb added 70 yards in the win. Arlis Boardingham and Eugene Wilson III added 99 and 64 receiving yards respectively.

Sedrick Alexander rushed for 27 yards for Vanderbilt, while Jayden McGowan added 25 yards. Ken Seals threw for 276 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Will Sheppard and Junior Sherrill had 107 and 64 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Florida 495-340 yards in Saturday's game. Florida had more first downs as that total ended up 25-13.

Florida led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:58-23:02 split in that important category.

Florida heads into a Week 7 battle against South Carolina. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, will have their next action against Georgia.
