Recap - Scarlet Knights Defeat Ohio 34-31
The Bobcats came up short against the Scarlet Knights in Week 1 action on Thursday, falling 34-31 at SHI Stadium.
The Scarlet Knights earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -15.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 52.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Antwan Raymond rushed for 88 yards, while CJ Campbell Jr. added 70 yards in the win. Ian Strong and DT Sheffield added 100 and 85 receiving yards respectively.
Parker Navarro rushed for 93 yards for Ohio, while Sieh Bangura added 86 yards. Parker Navarro threw for 239 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Chase Hendricks and Max Rodarte had 115 and 35 yards respectively.
Rutgers led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:45-28:15 split in that important category.
Rutgers heads into a Week 2 battle against Miami-OH. Ohio, meanwhile, will have their next action against West Virginia.
