Spartans Fall 16-14 Against Central Michigan - Game Recap

Nahree Biggins scampered through the San Jose State defense for 102 yards as Central Michigan handed the Spartans a 16-14 defeat on Friday at CEFCU Stadium.

The Chippewas were a +14.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 51.0.

Nahree Biggins rushed for 102 yards, while Trey Cornist added 99 yards in the win. Tommy McIntosh and DeCorion Temple added 61 and 22 receiving yards respectively.

Floyd Chalk IV rushed for 44 yards for San Jose State, while Tama Amisone added 23 yards. Walker Eget threw for 308 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Danny Scudero and Leland Smith had 189 and 50 yards respectively.

Central Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to San Jose State 383-351 yards in Friday's game. Central Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.

San Jose State lost the time of possession battle 33:45-26:15, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Central Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Pittsburgh. San Jose State will aim to get back on the winning track at Texas.
