Iowa State Defeats Iowa 16-13 - Recap

The Cyclones grabbed a Week 2 victory over the Hawkeyes on Saturday, winning 16-13 at Jack Trice Stadium.

The game was a push (tie) for betting purposes as the final score was identical to the -3.0 number at most sportsbooks. The game proved to be a winner for UNDER bettors based on the closing total of 43.0.

Abu Sama III rushed for 47 yards, while Carson Hansen added 46 yards in the win. Brett Eskildsen and Gabe Burkle added 39 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Iowa lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 238-214 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa had more first downs as that total ended up 16-14.

Iowa led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:08-28:52 split in that important category.

Iowa State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arkansas State. Iowa will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Massachusetts.
