Midshipmen vs Blazers Final: 38-24 - Recap
Alex Tecza scampered through the UAB defense for 111 yards as Navy handed the Blazers a 38-24 defeat on Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Navy did not, however, defeat the Blazers against the spread, which closed at -21.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 59.5.
Alex Tecza rushed for 111 yards, while Blake Horvath added 72 yards in the win. Cody Howard and Luke Hutchison added 65 and 63 receiving yards respectively.
Jevon Jackson rushed for 66 yards for UAB, while Isaiah Jacobs added 16 yards. Jalen Kitna threw for 304 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Corri Milliner and Solomon Beebe had 100 and 77 yards respectively.
UAB was outgained by Navy 463-413 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-20 by the Blazers.
Navy led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:22-27:38 split in that important category.
Next game, Navy takes its act on the road to face Tulsa looking for another win. For UAB, they head home to face Akron.
