Wildcats Fall 23-17 Against Arizona - Game Recap

Ismail Mahdi tore up the turf for 189 rushing yards on Friday to lead the Wildcats to a 23-17 win over the Wildcats at Arizona Stadium.

Arizona was the ATS victor, as they covered the +1.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 56.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Ismail Mahdi rushed for 189 yards, while Noah Fifita added 48 yards in the win. Chris Hunter and Ismail Mahdi added 37 and 32 receiving yards respectively.

Jayce Brown rushed for 75 yards for Kansas State, while Antonio Martin Jr. added 17 yards. Avery Johnson threw for 88 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Jayce Brown and Jaron Tibbs had 68 and 6 yards respectively.

Arizona outgained Kansas State 412-193 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-8 by the Wildcats.

Kansas State lost the time of possession battle 36:55-23:05, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Arizona takes its act on the road to face Iowa State looking for another win. For Kansas State, they head home to face UCF.
