Sooners Down Temple 42-3 - Match Report

The battle between the Sooners and Owls didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Temple was handed a 42-3 defeat on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Sooners were a -24.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 50.5.

Tory Blaylock rushed for 100 yards, while John Mateer added 63 yards in the win. Isaiah Sategna and Jaren Kanak added 97 and 86 receiving yards respectively.

Jay Ducker rushed for 24 yards for Temple, while Terrez Worthy added 10 yards. Gevani McCoy threw for 3 yards for the Owls, while receivers Kajiya Hollawayne and Ryder Kusch had 21 and 19 yards respectively.

Temple was outgained by Oklahoma 515-104 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-7 by the Sooners.

The time of possession battle favored Oklahoma as their offense was on the field for 32:16, longer than the 27:44 of their opponents.

Oklahoma looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Auburn. Temple will aim to get back on the winning track at Georgia Tech.
