Recap - Cougars Defeat East Carolina 34-13
LJ Martin tore up the turf for 101 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cougars to a 34-13 win over the Pirates at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

London Montgomery rushed for 43 yards for East Carolina, while Marlon Gunn Jr. added 35 yards. Katin Houser threw for 285 yards for the Pirates, while receivers Yannick Smith and Brock Spalding had 146 and 64 yards respectively.
East Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to BYU 418-404 yards in Saturday's game. East Carolina had more first downs as that total ended up 24-20.
East Carolina lost the time of possession battle 31:39-28:21, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, BYU takes its act on the road to face Colorado looking for another win. For East Carolina, they head home to face Army.
