Fighting Illini Fall 63-10 Against Indiana - Game Recap
The Fighting Illini had no answer for Khobie Martin on Saturday as the Hoosiers rolled to a 63-10 win at Memorial Stadium.
The Hoosiers were a -7.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 51.5.
Khobie Martin rushed for 107 yards, while Kaelon Black added 89 yards in the win. Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr. added 92 and 78 receiving yards respectively.
Kaden Feagin rushed for 18 yards for Illinois, while Ca'Lil Valentine added 11 yards. Luke Altmyer threw for 146 yards for the Fighting Illini, while receivers Collin Dixon and Hudson Clement had 86 and 27 yards respectively.
Illinois lost the offensive yardage battle to Indiana 579-161 yards in Saturday's game. Indiana had more first downs as that total ended up 31-9.
Indiana led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 39:43-20:17 split in that important category.
Next game, Indiana takes its act on the road to face Iowa looking for another win. For Illinois, they head home to face USC.
