Miners Fall 31-25 Against Louisiana-Monroe - Game Recap
Braylon McReynolds ran for 107 yards as Louisiana-Monroe handled UTEP by a score of 31-25 on Saturday at Sun Bowl.
Bettors who backed the Warhawks were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as an underdog of +6.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 47.0.
Braylon McReynolds rushed for 107 yards, while Dorian Lewis added 79 yards in the win. Jake Godfrey and Jonathan Bibbs added 49 and 38 receiving yards respectively.
Hahsaun Wilson rushed for 21 yards for UTEP, while Ashten Emory added 19 yards. Malachi Nelson threw for 404 yards for the Miners, while receivers Trevon Tate and Wondame Davis Jr. had 126 and 119 yards respectively.
Louisiana-Monroe lost the offensive yardage battle to UTEP 442-399 yards in Saturday's game. UTEP had more first downs as that total ended up 21-18.
Louisiana-Monroe led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:51-28:09 split in that important category.
Next game, Louisiana-Monroe takes its act home to face Arkansas State looking for another win. For UTEP, they head home to face LA Tech.
