BYU Cougars vs Colorado Buffaloes Recap - Cougars Win 24-21
The Cougars grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Buffaloes on Saturday, winning 24-21 at Folsom Field.
BYU won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -6.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 49.0.
Bear Bachmeier rushed for 98 yards, while LJ Martin added 58 yards in the win. Chase Roberts and Carsen Ryan added 49 and 46 receiving yards respectively.
Micah Welch rushed for 67 yards for Colorado, while Dre'lon Miller added 52 yards. Kaidon Salter threw for 119 yards for the Buffaloes, while receivers Joseph Williams and Dre'lon Miller had 56 and 27 yards respectively.
Colorado lost the offensive yardage battle to BYU 387-291 yards in Saturday's game. BYU had more first downs as that total ended up 27-17.
BYU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:35-26:25 split in that important category.
BYU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against West Virginia. Colorado will aim to get back on the winning track at TCU.
