Trojans vs Bears Final: 73-13 - Recap
Missouri State couldn't hang with the Trojans on Saturday as USC blasted the Bears 73-13 in Week 1 action at United Airlines Field at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.
Bettors who backed the Trojans were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -36.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 60.0.
King Miller rushed for 80 yards, while Husan Longstreet added 54 yards in the win. Makai Lemon and Eli Sanders added 90 and 73 receiving yards respectively.
Shomari Lawrence rushed for 50 yards for Missouri State, while Ramone Green Jr. added 19 yards. Jacob Clark threw for 147 yards for the Bears, while receivers Tristian Gardner and Jmariyae Robinson had 39 and 30 yards respectively.
Missouri State lost the offensive yardage battle to USC 597-224 yards in Saturday's game. USC had more first downs as that total ended up 27-11.
USC lost the time of possession battle 32:31-27:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
USC heads into a Week 2 battle against Georgia Southern. Missouri State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Marshall.
