Recap - Huskies Defeat FIU 51-10
Joe Fagnano sliced and diced the Panthers defense for 355 yards as UCONN handed FIU a 51-10 defeat on Saturday at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Bettors who backed the Huskies were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -7.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 52.0.
Joe Fagnano completed 22 of 28 pass attempts for 355 yards for the Huskies in the win.
Kejon Owens rushed for 67 yards for FIU, while Anthony Carrie added 48 yards. Keyone Jenkins threw for 74 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Alex Perry and JoJo Stone had 32 and 26 yards respectively.
FIU lost the offensive yardage battle to UCONN 527-304 yards in Saturday's game. UCONN had more first downs as that total ended up 22-18.
The time of possession battle favored FIU as their offense was on the field for 30:27, longer than the 29:33 of their opponents.
Next game, UCONN takes its act on the road to face Boston College looking for another win. For FIU, they head on the road to face WKU.
