Recap - Midshipmen Defeat Temple 32-31
Blake Horvath scampered through the Temple defense for 155 yards as Navy handed the Owls a 32-31 defeat on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Midshipmen won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -10.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Blake Horvath rushed for 155 yards, while Eli Heidenreich added 34 yards in the win. Eli Heidenreich and Cody Howard added 72 and 50 receiving yards respectively.
Jay Ducker rushed for 97 yards for Temple, while Keveun Mason added 28 yards. Evan Simon threw for 345 yards for the Owls, while receivers Kajiya Hollawayne and JoJo Bermudez had 146 and 74 yards respectively.
Temple outgained Navy 518-384 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-15 by the Owls.
Navy lost the time of possession battle 34:02-25:58, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Navy takes its act home to face Florida Atlantic looking for another win. For Temple, they head on the road to face Charlotte.
