Recap - Panthers Defeat Florida State 34-31

Mason Heintschel led the way with 321 passing yards on Saturday as the Panthers picked up a 34-31 victory over the Seminoles at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Panthers were a +10.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 57.5.

Mason Heintschel completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 321 yards for the Panthers in the win.

Gavin Sawchuk rushed for 71 yards for Florida State, while Ousmane Kromah added 55 yards. Tommy Castellanos threw for 245 yards for the Seminoles, while receivers Micahi Danzy and Landen Thomas had 133 and 25 yards respectively.

Florida State was outgained by Pittsburgh 476-415 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-21 by the Panthers.

Florida State lost the time of possession battle 32:35-27:25, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Pittsburgh heads into a 8 battle against Syracuse. Florida State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Stanford.
