Terrapins Fall 34-31 Against Nebraska - Game Recap
Emmett Johnson scampered through the Maryland defense for 176 yards as Nebraska handed the Terrapins a 34-31 defeat on Saturday at SECU Stadium.
Nebraska did not, however, defeat the Terrapins against the spread, which closed at -7.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 48.0.
Emmett Johnson rushed for 176 yards, while Isaiah Mozee added 24 yards in the win. Nyziah Hunter and Dane Key added 125 and 43 receiving yards respectively.
Nolan Ray rushed for 62 yards for Maryland, while DeJuan Williams added 36 yards. Malik Washington threw for 249 yards for the Terrapins, while receivers Shaleak Knotts and DeJuan Williams had 62 and 35 yards respectively.
Maryland was outgained by Nebraska 453-379 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Cornhuskers.
Maryland led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:27-28:33 split in that important category.
