Massachusetts Minutemen vs Kent State Golden Flashes Recap - Golden Flashes Win 42-6

The battle between the Golden Flashes and Minutemen didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Massachusetts was handed a 42-6 defeat on Saturday at Dix Stadium.

Kent State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -1.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 50.0.

Jordan Nubin rushed for 80 yards, while Gavin Garcia added 71 yards in the win. Da'Shawn Martin and Sebastian Brown added 42 and 36 receiving yards respectively.

Brandon Hood rushed for 36 yards for Massachusetts, while Juwaun Price added 18 yards. Brandon Rose threw for 0 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Jake McConnachie and Donnie Gray had 67 and 60 yards respectively.

Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Kent State 330-271 yards in Saturday's game. Massachusetts had more first downs as that total ended up 21-17.

Massachusetts led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:31-29:29 split in that important category.

Next game, Kent State takes its act on the road to face Toledo looking for another win. For Massachusetts, they head home to face Buffalo.
