New Mexico State Aggies vs Liberty Flames Wrap - Liberty Wins 30-27
The Flames grabbed a Week 8 victory over the Aggies on Tuesday, winning 30-27 at Williams Stadium.
Liberty won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -10.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 48.5.
Evan Dickens rushed for 50 yards, while Julian Gray added 26 yards in the win. Donte Lee Jr. and Julian Gray added 55 and 41 receiving yards respectively.
Kadarius Calloway rushed for 84 yards for New Mexico State, while Dijon Stanley added 19 yards. Logan Fife threw for 242 yards for the Aggies, while receivers TK King and Gavin Harris had 68 and 62 yards respectively.
Liberty lost the offensive yardage battle to New Mexico State 388-293 yards in Tuesday's game. New Mexico State had more first downs as that total ended up 23-19.
Liberty lost the time of possession battle 33:53-26:07, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face Delaware looking for another win. For New Mexico State, they head home to face Missouri State.
