Hawkeyes Down Penn State 25-24 - Match Report
Mark Gronowski scampered through the Penn State defense for 130 yards as Iowa handed the Nittany Lions a 25-24 defeat on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Iowa won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -3.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 41.5.
Mark Gronowski rushed for 130 yards, while Kamari Moulton added 99 yards in the win. Kaden Wetjen and Xavier Williams added 21 and 13 receiving yards respectively.
Kaytron Allen rushed for 145 yards for Penn State, while Nicholas Singleton added 15 yards. Ethan Grunkemeyer threw for 93 yards for the Nittany Lions, while receivers Trebor Pena and Luke Reynolds had 19 and 16 yards respectively.
Penn State lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa 313-266 yards in Saturday's game. Penn State had more first downs as that total ended up 19-11.
Penn State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:12-23:48 split in that important category.
Next game, Iowa takes its act home to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Penn State, they head on the road to face Ohio State.
