NIU Falls 48-21 to Bobcats - Recap
NIU was unable to contain Sieh Bangura on Saturday and the result was a 48-21 Week 8 loss against the Bobcats.
Ohio was the ATS victor, as they covered the -10.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 42.0 were rewarded at the payout window.
Sieh Bangura rushed for 147 yards, while Duncan Brune added 126 yards in the win. Chase Hendricks and Rodney Harris II added 108 and 25 receiving yards respectively.
Telly Johnson Jr. rushed for 64 yards for NIU, while Josh Holst added 48 yards. Josh Holst threw for 161 yards for the Huskies, while receivers DeAree Rogers and Gary Givens had 107 and 12 yards respectively.
NIU lost the offensive yardage battle to Ohio 538-293 yards in Saturday's game. Ohio had more first downs as that total ended up 27-15.
The time of possession battle favored Ohio as their offense was on the field for 35:50, longer than the 24:10 of their opponents.
Next game, Ohio takes its act on the road to face Eastern Michigan looking for another win. For NIU, they head home to face Ball State.
