Louisiana-Lafayette Falls 35-23 to Trojans - Recap

Jordan Lovett ran for 113 yards as Troy handled Louisiana-Lafayette by a score of 35-23 on Saturday at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Jordan Lovett rushed for 113 yards, while Tucker Kilcrease added 25 yards in the win. Ethan Conner and Rara Thomas added 68 and 36 receiving yards respectively.

Lunch Winfield rushed for 139 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Zylan Perry added 21 yards. Lunch Winfield threw for 187 yards for the Ragin' Cajuns, while receivers Shelton Sampson Jr. and Charles Robertson had 74 and 61 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Lafayette outgained Troy 371-345 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-18 by the Trojans.

Louisiana-Lafayette lost the time of possession battle 30:32-29:28, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Troy takes its act home to face Arkansas State looking for another win. For Louisiana-Lafayette, they head on the road to face South Alabama.
