Miami-FL Defeats Stanford 42-7 - Recap

The Cardinal had no answer for Mark Fletcher Jr. on Saturday as the Hurricanes rolled to a 42-7 win at Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami-FL won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -28.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 45.5.

Mark Fletcher Jr. rushed for 106 yards, while Chris Wheatley-Humphrey added 27 yards in the win. Tony Johnson and Malachi Toney added 69 and 52 receiving yards respectively.

Cole Tabb rushed for 64 yards for Stanford, while Champ Hampton added 15 yards. Ben Gulbranson threw for 50 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Caden High and Sam Roush had 36 and 23 yards respectively.

Stanford lost the offensive yardage battle to Miami-FL 404-144 yards in Saturday's game. Miami-FL had more first downs as that total ended up 25-8.

The time of possession battle favored Miami-FL as their offense was on the field for 36:42, longer than the 23:18 of their opponents.

Miami-FL looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against SMU. Stanford will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Pittsburgh.
