Golden Gophers Fall 41-3 Against Iowa - Game Recap

Minnesota couldn't hang with the Hawkeyes on Saturday as Iowa blasted the Golden Gophers 41-3 in Week 9 action at Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 39.0.

Kamari Moulton rushed for 75 yards, while Mark Gronowski added 24 yards in the win. Kaden Wetjen and Reece Vander Zee added 49 and 29 receiving yards respectively.

Xavier Ford rushed for 25 yards for Minnesota, while Fame Ijeboi added 17 yards. Drake Lindsey threw for 109 yards for the Golden Gophers, while receivers Le'Meke Brockington and Kenric Lanier II had 54 and 20 yards respectively.

Iowa outgained Minnesota 274-133 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 13-10 by the Hawkeyes.

Minnesota lost the time of possession battle 33:10-26:50, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Iowa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Oregon. Minnesota will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Michigan State.
